My name is JC, and I’m passionate about everyday carry. It all started when I picked up a Gerber survival knife at my local Canadian Tire. Then came my first Spyderco Dragonfly, followed by the Mora Companion. I couldn’t resist the orange Spyderco Delica, and when the CRKT Provoke was released… well, you know how the story goes!

I even tried my hand at making knives. Using O1 tool steel and a simple file, I shaped my first blade. I built a tin-can furnace and did the heat treating in motor oil—all on the balcony of my apartment. Mad respect to knife makers everywhere—it’s no easy feat! My journey into everyday carry didn’t stop there. I wanted to create accessories for my knives, and one thing led to another. That’s how I started making various everyday carry accessories, such as beads, rings, menuki, and knife scales.
